SEO that reports on enquiries, not on rankings you cannot bank

Rankings are a means, not the outcome. We work on the pages that can realistically rank for terms with commercial intent, fix the technical issues holding the whole site back, and report on enquiries so you can see what the work returned.

The problem this solves

Most SEO retainers report improvements on terms nobody buys from. Meanwhile the site has no structured data, thin duplicated pages competing with each other, and a title tag strategy of putting the company name first. The fundamentals are unglamorous and usually where the gains are.

What you get

Technical audit and fix programme

Crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, canonical handling, redirect chains, internal linking and structured data — delivered as a prioritised list with effort and expected impact against each item, then implemented.

Keyword and intent research

UK search demand mapped to buying intent, so effort goes to terms that produce enquiries rather than to high-volume terms that produce browsers.

On-page optimisation

Titles and descriptions written within SERP limits, heading structure, and content that answers the query rather than circling it. One page per intent, so your own pages stop competing.

Structured data implementation

Organization, LocalBusiness, Service, FAQ, Article and Breadcrumb schema as an interlinked graph, which is what makes rich results eligible and helps engines resolve your business as a consistent entity.

Local SEO

Google Business Profile optimisation, NAP consistency across directories, and location pages with genuinely distinct content — not the same page with the city swapped.

Reporting against enquiries

Monthly reporting tied to form submissions and calls, with the losses shown as well as the wins.

How we work

  1. Audit

Full technical and content audit with a prioritised action list. Yours to keep regardless of whether you continue.

  2. Fix the foundations

Technical blockers first — they gate everything else.

  3. Research and map

Keyword-to-page mapping so nothing is left competing with itself.

  4. Content programme

New pages and rewrites in priority order.

  5. Authority building

Digital PR and genuinely earned links only.

  6. Measure and adjust

Monthly review against enquiries, with the plan updated.

What you should expect

  • Prioritised technical fix list, then the fixes actually shipped
  • One page per search intent, cannibalisation removed
  • Rich-result eligibility through complete structured data

SEO Services — Your Questions

Including the ones about cost, which most agencies leave off the page.

A one-off technical audit runs £1,200 to £3,000 and is the right starting point for most sites. Ongoing programmes typically £800 to £2,500 per month depending on how much content and development work is included. We do not tie clients into long contracts — if it is not working you should be able to stop.

Technical fixes can show within weeks. Content and authority work generally takes three to six months to move competitive commercial terms, and longer in crowded sectors. Anyone promising page one in thirty days is either targeting terms with no demand or planning something that will eventually cost you a penalty.

No, and nor can anyone else honestly — Google’s ranking systems are not under any agency’s control. What we can commit to is the work: the audit findings fixed, the pages built, the schema implemented, and transparent reporting on what moved.

No — and this is a common and costly misunderstanding. Nofollow on external links is reasonable. Applying it to internal links actively harms you: PageRank stops flowing to your own service pages, and the share assigned to a nofollowed link is simply discarded rather than redistributed. Internal links should be followed and organised into topic clusters; that is what keeps authority working inside your site.

Not inherently — Google judges content on quality and usefulness, not on how it was produced. What does cause problems is scaled content abuse: publishing large volumes of unreviewed, low-value pages to manipulate rankings. Our advice is to use AI as a drafting tool with genuine human editing, a named author, and original insight, and to publish fewer, better posts.

Answer Engine Optimisation is about being cited by AI assistants rather than only ranking in classic search results. The practical work overlaps heavily with good SEO: server-rendered HTML that crawlers can read without JavaScript, clear structured data, consistent entity information, and being referenced on reputable third-party sites. It is worth doing, and largely the same discipline.
