Interface design judged on whether people finish the task

Good design is not the same as good-looking design. We start by watching people attempt the thing your product exists for, find where they stall, and fix that. Aesthetics matter — they carry credibility — but they follow the structure rather than substituting for it.

The problem this solves

Most redesigns are driven by internal taste rather than evidence. The result looks contemporary, ships, and converts the same or worse, because nobody identified what was actually stopping people. Meanwhile every new screen gets designed from scratch because no system exists.

What you get

Research and current-state audit

Analytics review, session recordings, heuristic evaluation and interviews with real users. This is what turns opinion into a prioritised list of problems.

Information architecture and flows

Structure, navigation and task flows agreed before any visual work — because rearranging structure later is what makes redesigns overrun.

Wireframes and prototypes

Clickable prototypes covering the critical journeys, testable with real users before a line of code exists.

Design system, not screens

Tokens, components, states and usage rules in Figma, mapped to the code components your developers will build. Screens run out; a system keeps working.

Accessibility built in

Contrast, focus order, target sizes and keyboard paths checked against WCAG 2.2 AA during design, where fixing them is cheap.

Usability testing round

Moderated sessions on the prototype with a short report: what failed, how often, and the recommended change.

How we work

  1. Discover

Analytics, recordings, interviews and a heuristic audit.

  2. Define

Prioritised problem list agreed with you before design starts.

  3. Structure

    IA, flows and wireframes.

  4. Test early

Usability testing on the wireframe prototype, while changes are cheap.

  5. Design system

    Visual language, tokens and components.

  6. Handover

Annotated specs, states and edge cases documented for developers.

What you should expect

  • Task completion measured before and after, not just a new look
  • A design system developers can build against without guessing
  • WCAG 2.2 AA issues caught in design rather than in audit
  • Documented edge cases and empty/error states

UX/UI Design — Your Questions

Including the ones about cost, which most agencies leave off the page.

A focused UX audit with recommendations runs £2,000 to £4,000 and is often the best first step. Full design for a marketing site is typically £4,000 to £9,000; a product or application with a proper design system generally £9,000 to £25,000 depending on how many distinct flows exist.

Yes. We deliver a Figma design system with annotated specs, states and edge cases that any competent development team can implement. We would rather hand over something unambiguous than something that needs us to interpret it.

Five sessions typically surface the majority of serious problems and cost a fraction of building the wrong thing. If budget is genuinely tight we compress it, but we will not pretend that internal review is a substitute — teams are too close to their own product to see where it confuses people.

It is the reusable set of tokens, components, states and rules that all your screens are built from, rather than a folder of one-off page designs. It costs more upfront and much less thereafter: every subsequent feature composes existing parts instead of commissioning new design.
