Fixed-fare London minicab booking in seconds — plus business accounts and a chauffeur service.

MiniCab Lane connects passengers with licensed London minicabs for airport transfers, city rides and long-distance journeys, booked online in seconds with a fixed fare and instant confirmation. We built the booking platform — the quote-and-book flow, the business and chauffeur offerings, and the multilingual front — so a rider can go from postcode to confirmed cab without a phone call.

The problem

Booking a minicab in London still often means a phone call, an unclear fare and no confirmation until the car turns up. Passengers want what ride apps trained them to expect — a fixed price up front, an instant booking and no hidden charges — but many local licensed operators have no way to offer that online. On top of the consumer ride, there was demand for business accounts and a premium chauffeur service, none of which a simple contact form can handle. The brief was a real online booking experience for a licensed operator.

What we built

We built MiniCab Lane around a book-your-ride flow that takes a pickup and drop-off postcode, a date and time and a ride type, and returns a fixed fare a rider can confirm on the spot — with instant confirmation and no hidden charges. Around that core we added the paths the operator needed: airport transfers and long-distance journeys, business accounts for companies that book regularly, and a separate chauffeur offering for premium journeys. The front is multilingual for London’s international passengers, with WhatsApp and call options always visible for people who still prefer to talk. The whole thing is mobile-first, because most bookings start on a phone, often at an airport.

What changed

MiniCab Lane gives a licensed London operator the online booking experience passengers now expect — a fixed fare up front, a booking in seconds and instant confirmation — alongside business accounts and a chauffeur service. Riders book by postcode without a phone call, and the operator captures journeys it would previously have lost to the apps. It is live at minicablane.com.
